The diva selfie in St. Mark's Square

Picture a whizzing speedboat, the lagoon of Venice and a headscarf, and here we are transformed into Hollywood divas sipping a cocktail in St. Mark's Square. Imagine strolling through the city's main square amidst the many typical restaurants, with the Basilica’s facade with its mosaics and golden lions in the background.

Dusk is approaching and it’s time for a sundowner in the square.

The colours of the sunset create outfits with warm, embracing shades. With tailored details and gold tones, you can enhance your most romantic shots and create unique memories to share with the ones you love.

A snapshot between the pink columns of the Doge's Palace

We continue walking around the square and reach a splendid Gothic Venetian palace. It’s the Doge's Palace, located in the historic area of St. Mark's Square, which is the subject of paintings, international films and legends.

It was the seat of the Doge and the Venetian magistracy, a symbol of the city's power and culture.

Our top tip? Visit the rooms of the palace to admire the works of art and be ready to take a pic of the spaces, islands and lagoon framed by the gondolas.

The island of Murano: a kaleidoscope of colours

We leave dry land, or almost, and get ready for a boat ride to the island of Murano.

It’s impossible to disassociate the island's name from the fine art of glassmaking.

Just like the works by the world's best glass artisans, the island itself is an explosion of colour with its typical, colourful houses. In Murano, clothes become light and colourful, with patterns and designs in pastel tones echoing the island's style.

A quick tip: the island is home to places and sites of rare beauty including churches, museums and the wonderful lighthouse. The atmosphere steeped in history and tradition is a must for all couples.

Leaving the past behind at the Bridge of Sighs

We have all heard of it at least once, but how did this masterpiece of Baroque architecture get this nickname?

Spoiler: these are not sighs of love.

The bridge connects the Doge's Palace to the prisons. Legend has it that the Venetians used to hear the sighs of the condemned prisoners as they crossed the bridge to look at beautiful Venice and the world for the last time. Thus, the Bridge has become the symbol of a place to leave the past behind, start again and get back into the game — there is still a whole city waiting to be discovered.

Fun fact: there are three copies of the Venetian bridge in the world, in Oxford, Cambridge and New York – where it connects two skyscrapers, one of which was inspired by the bell tower of St Mark's Basilica.

Non-places: gondolas and calli

Not places but routes, across sea and land, to visit all the wonders of Venice.

While gondolas are world-famous as the typical boats of lovers, the style of the gondoliers has also become famous over time.

Between nautical stripes, typical berets and serenades, the charm of the gondola has become the symbol of true love. In summer, listen to the gondoliers sing in the typical Venetian dialect and immerse yourself in an iconic and romantic tradition. Meanwhile, you will be welcomed into the city by the endless calli, the typical Venetian alleyways, which are narrow, intimate and romantic — as charming as only the quaint streets in this lagoon can be. Walk the streets and alleys of Giacomo Casanova and whisper his sweet promises.
